Hello George White families!
My name is Mrs. Stinson, and I am the substitute school counselor at George White Elementary for the remainder of the school year. I’m so happy to be part of the George White community!
As the school counselor, I work with students to help them navigate big emotions, build confidence, develop healthy friendships, and learn strategies for regulating their feelings. I meet with students individually, in small groups, and also visit classrooms to teach social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons on topics like kindness, problem-solving, empathy, and coping skills.
My goal is to help every student feel safe, supported, and confident at school so they can do their best learning.
Fun fact: George White holds a special place in my heart because my own children attended school here, so it’s very meaningful for me to now be back on campus supporting students and families!
I am on campus Mondays and Tuesdays and look forward to working with our George White students and families.
